A really interesting read about what it would mean if extraterrestrial life were to exist. We don't yet have the scientific means to evaluate the probability of life evolving, so this is still a problem for philosophers.

This is not political science. Who else thinks that the category "conspiracies" is way underused on SU?
And just how would retail executives be able to predict the economy anyway? Oh, right, they heard it from the jew lizards at the center of the earth. Pardon my ignorance.

Not sure whether to give it thumbs up or down. On the plus side, it does bring to attention some important stories that, for whatever reason, didn't make it into the mainstream press. The problem is that instead of just providing information the articles have a strong editorial bias, to the extent that a reasonable person might question whether the facts have been misrepresented. And more than a few of the selections are just well-known events recounted from a far left-wing perspective. Seems to me like they're sabotaging their own credibility...

A very fun game! Technical analysis is useful if you know what you're doing. Though I wish this game would let you see other charts/indicators than just the moving average.

It's a good idea, not just to conserve space, but also to negate the effects of yearly climate variation (and possibly of global warming). The problem is that it's really expensive though; such a structure wouldn't be profitable until a long time after it were built.

An interesting article on the feud between the authors of Way of the Turtle and The Complete TurtleTrader. I'm not sure who to believe, though I do know that Covel needs to have a PR firm tell him to stay off internet forums :p
